Allianz is proud to announce it has been awarded the Best Workplace Diversity & Inclusion Program at the 2021 Australian HR Awards.

Now in its eighth year running, the Australian HR Awards is hosted by Human Resources Director and Key Media and celebrates industry excellence and the outstanding achievements of the country's top HR leaders, companies, and teams.

Allianz Australia, Chief Human Resources Officer, Vicky Drakousis, said the accolade is testament to Allianz’s ongoing commitment towards an inclusive workplace and community, "We couldn’t be more proud to be recognised with this honour by the Australian HR Awards. As an insurer, our purpose is to secure Australians’ futures, and as part of that we are dedicated to helping to tackle social issues and promote equality in the workplace. We believe that enabling all people to participate equally at work, empowers innovation and individuals to succeed.”

Further commenting on the win, Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Edyta Torpy said, “At Allianz, diversity, inclusion, respect and belonging are the core of our values, and are key enablers of our business success. These guiding pillars are fundamental to creating an environment where our people can be their best and do their best – for each other and our customers. I'm proud of both the recognition and also the work that we have done to date – across gender & LGBTQ+ inclusion, cultural diversity, accessibility, reconciliation and flexibility. With the ongoing support and commitment from leaders and colleagues across the organisation, we will continue to embed inclusion into everything we do.”

Allianz Australia is proud to have protected Australians for over 100 years and is committed to contributing to an inclusive society. One in which all people – no matter their culture, background or ability – feel valued, and have the opportunity to use their unique skills and reach their full potential. We’ve also been proudly recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency since 2009.
